🎯 Mission & Core Purpose
We're looking for an enthusiastic HR Generalist to join our People & Culture team and take ownership of the full employee lifecycle across a distributed, international workforce. In this role, you will report to the Chief People Officer and act as a trusted partner to both managers and employees, combining strong operational execution with a genuine HRBP mindset.
You are someone who has worked across multiple countries, understands the nuances of different labor markets, and is already using AI as a core part of how you work, not as an add-on, but as a default.
💼 Key Responsibilities
Supporting the full employee lifecycle end-to-end: from pre-onboarding and day-one readiness through to offboarding, exit conversations, and clean process closure;
Working with a more Senior colleague on payroll coordination, compliance, and employee records across multiple jurisdictions, with clear shared ownership of tasks. Keeping all people data accurate and up to date across our tools (HiBob, Teamtailor, and Asana) so the team always has a single, reliable source of truth;
Supporting the HR team in continuously improving HR workflows using AI tools: identifying manual or repetitive processes and proposing automations that improve speed, accuracy, and employee experience. You proactively bring transformation ideas, not just execution;
Keeping processes and records aligned with local labor law requirements across Italy, Spain, Germany, and others. Supporting the drafting and review of employment contracts, working closely with labour law consultants to ensure compliance, clarity, and consistency. Proactively flagging risks before they escalate;
Overseeing engagement initiatives: running surveys, stay interviews, and pulse checks; and translating the data into concrete recommendations, providing feedback to the Chief People Officer;
Supporting the review and maintenance of salary grids, making sure our compensation framework stays fair, consistent, and aligned with the market as the team grows;
Being a reliable first point of contact for employees and managers navigating day-to-day HR questions, escalating where needed and supporting the team in building stronger, more trusted relationships across the business;
Helping coordinate promotion cycles and, when needed, providing support to dismissal processes;
Helping keep people engaged and motivated: running surveys and stay interviews to reduce turnover;
Managing the HR side of employer branding by proposing and analysing candidate experience surveys, and participating in internal communication activities;
Contributing to broader HR projects, including arranging offsites and internal events.
💡 Experience & Skills
At least 3 years of experience in Human Resources, with exposure to generalist operations and people partnering activities;
International experience: you have worked across multiple geographies simultaneously and are comfortable navigating different labor frameworks, cultural contexts, and employment norms;
Solid HR operations foundations: you are comfortable supporting payroll coordination, compliance tracking, employee lifecycle administration, and benefits. You understand that operational rigor is what makes strategic work possible;
AI fluency: you actively use AI tools in your day-to-day work (drafting, research, process automation, data analysis) and can identify where AI can replace or improve a manual HR process;
Previous experience in a product company in the Tech industry (ideally a scale-up or mid-size tech), with an understanding of how product and engineering teams operate;
Hands-on experience with HRISs (such as HiBob), ATSs (such as Teamtailor), workspace tools (such as Confluence, or One Drive), and with PM tools (such as Asana, or Jira);
Structured, analytical, and direct communicator: able to synthesize complex situations and present clear recommendations to managers and leadership;
Full professional proficiency in English. Italian is a strong plus.
👤 Added Values
Fundamentals of Italian, Spanish, or Mauritian labor law;
Experience building or contributing to an HR backlog, people ops roadmap, or similar structured approach to continuous improvement;
Experience owning or improving data quality within HRIS platforms.
